We’re Heather and Donnie — a married couple who have walked through the fire of addiction and found new life through recovery, faith, and each other.

Donnie has been in recovery since 2013, and Heather since 2016. Our journeys haven’t been perfect, but they’ve been honest, hard-fought, and full of grace. Somewhere along the way — almost by accident — we ended up with a podcast. What started as a simple idea turned into something much bigger: a space where we could speak freely, share our experience, and connect with others who are walking this path too.

Our podcast is called Relevant Recovery because that’s what we aim to be — relevant. Real. Raw. And rooted in the kind of truth that transforms lives. We talk about all things recovery: addiction, healing, relapse, relationships, spiritual challenges, and how we lean hard on God to get through the tough stuff. We don’t have all the answers, but we know the One who does — and we’ve learned that recovery is possible when spiritual action meets willingness and community.
